The Odd Couple

This is how Scott's half of the closet looks every day:
Okay! I'm really putting myself out there by revealing my messy half of closet, but here it is . . .
YIKES!

Leah said that it looks like this closet belongs to the "Odd Couple". It's hard to believe it's even the same closet, but it is. It's as if there is an invisible force field between Scott's side and mine. (Poor Scott for putting up with my messes!--Love you honey!)

WELL! I'VE HAD ENOUGH! I FINALLY HIT ROCK BOTTOM OF CLOSET SHAME!

Here's me at work today . . .

And a couple of hours later . . . WAH-LA!!!!!!!!!!! Here's the finished product.

Did you notice the color matched hanging system and the cleaned carpet? Now MY half of the closet matches Scott's half. He doesn't even know I did this yet. I can't wait to see his reaction. Whew! I feel like a new woman. Yeah for organization! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! Why didn't I do this sooner?

Yay! Go Kim! Isn't it amazing how stuff accumulates?? Now that we have a house and places to store stuff we're starting to keep all this stuff we don't need. I need to get a handle on that before it goes out of our control!
Be sure you post a picture of Scott's face when he walks into the closet! :-)

I think you should hide in the closet behind some clothes with a video camera secretly taping his reaction!!! I'm sure it's too late for that.

I am SO impressed. I thought the final result was Scott's side until I noticed some pinks and purples in the mix!!!!

You are such an organizing pro when you have the time to do it. I STILL love the help you gave me with all of my medicine.

WOW! That is amazing! What a fantastic job. When you take on a project, you REALLY take it on. I'm so proud! :-) I love it when I get the organizing itch. It is super satisfying with an end result that makes it all worth while.

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only wife who's messier than her husband. I did something similar but wasn't brave enough to take a "before" picture. Awesome Kim!!

Ken and I have been doing Fall Cleaning too. I cleaned out a junk room last Friday, it felt so good! And yesterday we cleaned our room- I was talking about it at work today and there was a general consensus that Master Bedrooms/Closets are the Hiding places for all things you don't want the average visitor to see- that is so not the way it should be! While we were cleaning I asked Ken if he thought we would be able to keep it clean all the time.....silence was his response....Maybe by the time we are 40? I asked,.....His answer was- how about 80? So we compromised, our goal is to be good cleaners by 40, but we won't be mad at ourselves until we are 80!

It does feel good to get things organized. I have to clean and organize something every so often because it makes me feel good. You did a great job.
